Dear Dr. Pepper:
Living in the 21st century, I am constantly introduced to new technologies like cellular devices, listening devices, and computers. Using computers and cellphones have not only made communicating with others easier, but it has also increased ways to view documents. I am constantly switching from a large desktop computer screen to a smaller screen size resolution, subconsciously taking little attention of smaller word texts. Therefore, does the size of a screen affect memory retention.
In my research paper I will research how the brain reads and process information as well as how the brain retains information. I will also research how the brain differs in reading large and small text. With the use of the internet, a cellular device, and a computer, I intend to measure the memory retention of two separate groups: one using cellphones (smaller screen resolution) and one using a computer (larger screen resolution).
The results of this project will represent a method of viewing information that will favor memory retention. Not only will my retention skills increase, but I will become knowledgeable about how the brain uses multiple connections to form words and meanings.
I understand that by plagiarizing, I am imitating or copying someone's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions. I also understand the consequences of plagiarism. Therefore, I intend to be honest and accurate on my Capstone project, representing academic integrity.
Sincerely,
Tony D. Hansberry II
